Graham’s background spans several industries, including the municipal water/wastewater, pharmaceutical, life sciences, cement, and high-vacuum semiconductor sectors.  His specialties include project management, construction administration, control system design, electrical design, as well as  instrumentation and process engineering. He has particular experience with coordinating plant start-ups and commissioning. At present he works in the Municipal Water/Wastewater sector with Eramosa Engineering, where he concentrates on the design, implementation, and commissioning of SCADA  (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems.

Prior to working in water/wastewater, Graham was involved with control system design, bioprocess engineering, and commissioning/validation work in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor/aerospace industries.  He has also worked as a marine electrician and has held various IT and software development positions. Graham has a strong background in technical writing, user needs assessment, and project management.

Graham writes regular columns for several industry newsletters.  He also frequently writes articles for a number of industry publications, such as InTech, Chemical Engineering Progress, Control Engineering, and the Environmental Science and Engineering.  His 2011 article “SCADA Standardization” won the ISA’s Keith Otto prize for best article of the year for ISA InTech Magazine.  In that same year, Graham was also featured as one of Control Engineering Magazine‘s “Leaders Under 40, Class of 2011” award winners their October 2011 issue. In 2012, Graham was nominated for the Allen D. Williams Award from the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies: Canada, as a young leader in the consulting engineering community.

Graham is an active member of several standards committees.
