Daniel is the Technology Support Manager for the Cobb County Water System, located in Marietta Georgia, USA.  He has over 30 years of experience in the water/wastewater sector. The majority of that time was spent as a Systems Integrator. In his capacity as a System Integrator Daniel managed projects, start-ups and commissioning of water and wastewater projects nationwide.  8 years ago Daniel joined the Cobb County Water system.  In his current role as the Technology Support Group Manager ,  he and his staff of 13 Process Control Analyst and Instrumentation Technicians manage the design, maintenance and installation of the process control systems for Cobb County’s water reclamation facilities and  lift stations and administer the SCADA HMI network.  Daniel’s expertise includes PLC/HMI programming, Instrumentation, Network Security and Network Management, Project Management, Database/Systems Administration and Radio/Modem/Cellular Communications.

Daniel became certified as a CCST III in 2002 and is a member of the Management and the Water & Wastewater Industries Divisions.  In 2012, he served on the CCST exam(s) review committee and was selected for CCST Profile of the Quarter in the Fall 2009 ISA CCST Newsletter. In addition to the ISA, Daniel is also a member of the AWWA (American Water Works Association), WEF (Water Environmental Federation), and the GAWP (Georgia Association of Water Professionals).

Daniel looks forward to serving as the 2014 WWAC Honors and Awards Chair as well as serving on the WWAC Symposium Program Committee.
